Stará Ľubovňa (High Tatras Surroundings)
Stará Ľubovňa is a very nice, historically significant city.
Once the royal town belongs today to popular tourist destinations, especially thanks to the Ľubovnian Castle and the open-air museum beneath it.
The nearby village of Litman is also worth a visit. It is especially related to the revelation of the Virgin Mary to two little girls on the nearby Zvir. You do not have to be a believer, but a place of pilgrimage on Zvir is breathtaking for you, and a walk in the nearby forest can be chilled in hot summer days.
Nestville Park is located in the picturesque village of Hniezdne, just 5 km west of Stare Ľubovne. It is an interesting exposition of traditional folk crafts associated with the presentation of history and the presence of distillery in northern Spiš.
Another unique experience is the Dunajec floating on wooden boards, the trail is 10 km long and takes it down from 90 to 120 minutes. During the cruise you can enjoy the beautiful nature of Pienin, the rocky overhangs, the calm and waving waters of the Danube. At the Lesnica Final Station, take a good lunch and go back to your car along the Danube. sezó
